Panorama: infectious disease protection information system

Panorama is the health surveillance system that was developed within the context of the pan-Canadian public health communicable disease surveillance and management project. Panorama is available to all of the Canadian public administrations so that they can implement it into their infrastructures.

Panorama enables authorised professionals across Canada to collect, exchange and analyse a wide range of health data that is essential to managing, at the regional, provincial and territorial levels, various health problems such as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and other communicable diseases.

The First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Health and Social Services Commission (FNQLHSSC) is currently working on the deployment of the platform within the First Nations communities in collaboration with the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ) and the regional Directions de santé publique. The first phase consists of immunisation product management. For this purpose, the new platform uses recent technology facilitating the ordering and management of the immunisation products according to the needs of the communities.
