2015 Québec First Nations and Inuit Summer Students Employment Program

Call for proposals

The First Nations and Inuit Health Careers Program is specifically designed to encourage and support First Nations and Inuit participation in educational opportunities leading to professional careers in a health field. This Program funds summer jobs for First Nations and Inuit studying at College and University in a field related to health. These jobs must be available within Québec Aboriginal communities or non-profit Aboriginal organizations providing direct services to First Nations and Inuit of Québec.

The work term may vary according to the students’ school holidays and the needs of the employer but it cannot exceed a maximum of 12 weeks (from May to August). The salary (including social charges) of the student is based on a salary scale that reflects years of schooling completed. Travelling, lodging and meals cost are not covered under the Program.

The time to register has already arrived for the employers and students who wish to participate in this Program. For more information, please consult the enclosed documentations (Employer and Employee application forms - conditions and guidelines). 
Registrations should be made no later than Monday April 20th, 2015 (deadline)
