The research sector of the FNQLHSSC is pleased to announce that the community data that was produced in the context of the First Nations Regional Early Childhood, Education and Employment Survey (REEES) and the First Nations Regional Health Survey – Phase 3 (RHS 2015) is now available for the communities that participated in these surveys.

In compliance with the principles of Ownership, Control, Access and Possession (OCAP®), the communities that participated in these surveys can request that the data that concerns them be returned. They will then be able to exercise full control over the information that belongs to them. Another option is to entrust the conservation and protection of this data to the FNQLHSSC which can guarantee security as well as access for those authorized by the communities.

In regard to the RHS, recall that phases one and two (2002 and 2008) also allowed for generating community data, which is also available for repatriation or access through the FNQLHSSC.

To find out how to retrieve the data or access it, please contact Jonathan Leclerc, Population Surveys Coordinator, at 418-842-1540, ext. 2502.
