NEWSLETTER ON THE FNQLHSSC

  • 2nd Edition of Early Childhood Week
Oct 10, 2017

From November 19 to 25, 2017, Early Childhood Week will be in full swing for a second consecutive year. Many partners working with children and families are involved. The purpose of Early Childhood Week is to mobilize the population around early childhood in order to make it a priority.

Ghislain Picard, Chief of the AFNQL, proudly accepted the role of First Nations ambassador for this second edition. Once again this year, the FNQLHSSC encourages communities and First Nations organizations to plan activities and take concrete action throughout the week to showcase little ones aged 1 to 5 years. Do not hesitate to use lines of communication already in place in your communities, such as the community radio and social media. We also invite you to enter your programming on the Early Childhood Week website and order special promotional material at www.grandesemaine.com/en.

In closing, follow the FNQLHSSC Facebook page during the month of November to learn more about FNQLHSSC activities and initiatives for First Nations and the Inuit, including a comic strip for families and a video featuring First Nations elders who express their outlook on early childhood.
