  • Call for nominations for the sixth edition of the Prix À part entière

The Office des personnes handicapées du Québec launched the call for nominations for the sixth edition of the Prix À part entière.

 

Awarded every two years, the award recognizes individuals and organizations that help increase the social participation of people with disabilities. In addition to encouraging personal and collective initiatives and rewarding concrete actions, it also aims to inspire each and everyone to take meaningful action at school, at work and in the community.

 

$30,000 offered in grants

 

Nominations can be submitted in one of the following five categories:

·      Individuals;

·      Non-profit organizations;

·      Municipalities, regional county municipalities and other communities;

·      Ministries and their networks and public and parapublic organizations;

·      School boards and elementary or high schools supporting educational success.

 

A total of $30,000 will be awarded in grants. The winners in the “Individuals” and "Non-profit organizations" categories will receive a $10,000 grant. As for the winners in the “Municipalities, regional county municipalities and other communities” and “School boards and elementary or high schools supporting educational success” categories, they will receive a $5,000 grant.

 

All the award winners will receive a bronze trophy at a ceremony that will be held at the Parliament Building in the spring of 2018. Mr. Stéphane Laporte, spokesperson for the award, will be in attendance, along with Ms. Lucie Charlebois, Minister for Rehabilitation, Youth Protection, Public Health and Healthy Living and Minister responsible for the Montérégie region. She will act as honorary president for the ceremony.
