• Launch of the First Nations Labour and Employment Development Survey
Mar 13, 2019

On Tuesday, February 26, with a first interviewer training, the launch of the First Nations Labour and Employment Development Survey was held.

Entirely under the governance of First Nations, the survey aims to gather information on working and employment conditions in First Nations communities. It was set up in order to better understand the working and employment conditions.

The FNQLHSSC, in collaboration with its regional partners (FNHRDCQ, FNQLEDC, FNEC, FNYN and Institut Tshakapesh), is in charge of coordinating the survey for the Quebec region. The survey is funded by Indigenous Services Canada and is spread over five years, from 2016 to 2021.

In Quebec, 15 communities are participating. The FNQLHSSC will recruit and train interviewers in the communities. The people targeted to answer the questionnaire are 15 to 64 years old. Thus, it is possible that your name will be selected at random to participate. Your participation is voluntary.

We invite you to watch our video on the survey on the FNQLHSSC's YouTube channel, at:
