• First Nations Wellness Day
Feb 02, 2015

Wendake, January 30, 2015. – The Chief of First Nations of Quebec-Labrador , Ghislain Picard, took advantage of the gathering of community leaders and health and social services directors, meeting in Quebec City this week to discuss governance in health and social services, and to emphasize the importance of the First Nations Day of Wellness, declared in 2011, after holding a large Summit on Addictions.

A wellness kit was created to highlight the First Nations Wellness Day held on February 1St of each year, the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Health and Social Services Commission (FNQLHSSC) highlights this day. This year's theme is "My wellness, it's up to me” and the goal is to raise First Nations awareness regarding individual and collective wellness.

The FNQLHSSC has produced a wellness kit for the 2015 edition that includes two items: a magnetized picture frame and a wellness contract. The picture frame is to be used to feature the photo of someone you want to care for: parent, friend, colleague, etc. This person can even be you! We invite you to use this magnetized picture frame all year long. For self-motivation or to motivate someone else, complete the wellness contract and commit yourself to achieving wellness – simply and easily.

For order copies of the wellness kit, please contact the FNQLHSSC by email at info@cssspnql.com or complete the order form found on the website of the FNQLHSSC: www.cssspnql.com.
