Mar 11, 2015

The FNQLHSSC would like to congratulate Sophie Picard, Health Manager, on her nomination as a recipient of the "First Nation Health Managers Association President's Award".

This great honour was awarded to her for her leadership at the regional and national levels as well as for her commitment to the development and certification of health directors from coast to coast across Canada. This award was presented to her during the National Conference which was held in Vancouver, last September, in front of some 300 First Nations health directors from across Canada.

For his part, Carl Simard, Information Resources Manager, received last November the "Excellent Partner Award." This is a regional award that is presented by the Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM) of Health Canada’s First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB). This award was presented to him for his commitment to the implementation of the eHealth Infostructure Program.

Jean Ross, Financial controller, also received a nomination for the “Excellent Partner Award” for all of his collaborative efforts with FNIHB.
