Waseskon Awashish, who comes from Mashteuiatsh, was hired for the communications team in February 2017 in order to serve as a Communications Advisor for a twelve-month period. In particular, she will be working on the consultation process for the child and family services reform in a collaborative fashion with the social services team. She has a bachelor's degree in public communication from Université Laval and worked for almost three years at the Quebec regional office of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada.


Mélanie Savard Beaulieu, who comes from Wendake, was hired in January 2017 as a Community Projects Development Agent as part of the early childhood team. She provides support to the communities of Wendake, Kahnawake, Wemotaci and Nutashquan. Mélanie has a diploma in social work (adapted to Aboriginal realities) and a bachelor's degree in social work from Université Laval. Since 2011, she has worked for community-based organizations, particularly in the context of Aboriginal children's programs (AHSUNC and CAPC).

In January, Éva Gauthier-Demers joined Chef de Mission Sophie Picard for the 2017 North American Indigenous Games. She will provide administrative support in preparation for the event, which will be held in July. Éva is a construction contractor in Wendake and has lived in the community with her family for many years.



Marie-Noëlle Logier-Paquette has been a member of the social services team since February 2017 as a Mental Health Advisor.

Heidi Jourdain, who comes from Uashat, has been an Administrative Support Clerk for the finance sector since January 2017.

Claudia Bastien, who comes from Wendake, obtained the Community Projects Development Agent position on the early childhood team.

Valérie Gagné-Vollant, who comes from Pessamit, will now be working as the Educational Advisor on the early childhood team.

Niva Sioui, Social Development Manager, is absent for an indefinite period of time. Rosalie Sioui, Regulations Advisor, is the Acting Manager. Anne Picard Savard is replacing Rosalie during this period.

Mélissa Picard-Arseneault, who comes from Wendake, is the social development secretary. She joined the organization in February 2017.

Mireille Boulianne joined the finance team in February 2017 as a financial clerk.
