• TRAINING AND REFRESHER ON TELEOPHTHALMOLOGY
Apr 25, 2017

May 9-10, 2017

Do you have staff members who require training so that you can hold your remote screening clinics for diabetic retinopathy? Here's a wonderful opportunity!

The FNQLHSSC is organizing a pre-conference on teleophthalmology that will precede the Conference on Clients with Decreasing Independence that will be held in Montréal on May 9 and 10, 2017.

There are two components:

  • Initial training: training for new staff
  • Refresher training: continuing training for staff who have already been trained

Initial training: 1.5 days

For those who have not yet had the opportunity to receive training, community trainers will provide training according to the already established course plan. The training accredits ten training units for nurses and eight units for nursing assistants.

Continuing training: 1 day

For those who would like to go a little further, instructors from various professional backgrounds have agreed to join the event and so there will be something there for everyone!

  • New developments on diabetic retinopathy treatment
  • Comprehensive care for diabetic patients
  • Ophthalmology: common pathologies and care
  • What is a good image?
  • Most common types of troubleshooting
  • Imaging refresher training
  • Presentation and handling of new technologies

Each community can train four people. Take advantage of this event to train imagers and nurses.

CURRENT AND FUTURE IMAGERS AND NURSES ARE MOST WELCOME!

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE GROUPS ARE COMPLETE.
