On March 9 and 10, the Anicinabe Obigiwasin Early Childhood Days were held in Lac-Simon. The two days were organized by the Table 0-5 years, in partnership with various community services. The presentations touched on a variety of topics, including stimulating language development, the role of the father, the attachment bond between parent and child, and the importance of routine.

The presentations were enhanced by culturally rich traditional teachings by elders. Overall, one hundred parents from the community participated in the two Early Childhood Days. Booths offering information on the various aspects of children’s lives had the most visitors.
