This seven-hour training program targets interveners who guide smokers through the process of quitting. It was developed by the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux du Québec, and translated into English for English-speaking interveners in First Nations communities. Learners can view the modules at their own pace and choose topics in the order they wish. Training credits
Nurses:
This training meets the criteria of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec and the Centre de formation continue of the Faculté de médecine et des sciences de la santé of the Université de Sherbrooke, which grants up to seven credits (0.7 CEC).
Social workers
This training also meets the requirements of the Règlement sur la formation continue obligatoire des membres at the Ordre des travailleurs sociaux et des thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec. Seven continuing education hours (CEH) can be granted.
Other professionals
